This is the first album from travelling electronic music producer Benji M. This is also the first release on the independent record label Death/Cable Records.
From Benji M:
I dedicate this record to the ladies.
When I first picked up a guitar, my father asked me why I was learning the guitar in 2006. Modern electronic music would likely make all traditional instruments obsolete soon, he argued. This album is an attempt to revisit that sentiment in the context of the decade that has passed since then.
I also feel I need to explain why I want you to pay to download my record. I am not, after all, a famous musician; I'm most certainly not a particularly dextrous one. Nothing I say will make 'support the artist' sound less self-aggrandizing, so I'll just go with that, then: support the artist. While you do that, you may also support a fledgling label started by two music nerds. Who knows? This may be the start of something interesting.
Finally, a disclaimer: I have used several samples in this album, all of which I believe to be in the public domain. If there's any that aren't, you, yes you, please just let it slide.
